How do you structure your BoQs in Buildprax?

Hi all,

I am interested to hear how others are structuring their Bills of Quantities in Buildprax.

Do you:

  • Follow a strict trade structure?
  • Use your own custom sections?
  • Reuse previous project templates?

My approach (for interest):

I normally start with a clean project and create only the bills I need.

From there:

  • I copy selected items from the Model BoQ rather than importing everything
  • I build up templates based on building types (office, warehouse, retail, hospital, hotel, etc.)
  • I then reuse those templates for future projects

The benefit is that:

  • The structure stays clean and relevant
  • The links between drawings, BoQ items, and estimates are already set up
  • It speeds up future projects significantly

Would be great to hear how others are doing it.
